At the beginning of this winter day,
Please wash my many sins away
And grant me, with the rising sun
Pardon for sins, done and undone
Like fallen snow, fresh and white
Please fade away the dark of night
Grant your light that I may see
The path of life that pleases thee
Fill me with Your Spirit so
I’ll know the proper way to go
In actions, words, thoughts and more
May I faithfully point to You, oh Lord
I need Your wisdom, aid and power
So I may please You every hour
That when today fades into night
I’ll rest with You, my soul’s delight.
